Clyde and Winter Winter was a pretty tough wolverine, Lived beneath the evergreens, Talking back, looking rough For the pups. One day he and his friend Clyde Decided to raid the countryside, They hitched a ride on a pastry cart, And had some tarts. The cart was headed for St. Luke, To cater a banquet for the Duke, Moving fast with creaking wheels Over snowy fields. When they reached the dining hall, Clyde and Winter had a ball, Spilling drinks, scaring guests, What a mess! The chef, he chased them around the room, Swatting madly with his broom, Winter escaped, but they got Clyde, He couldn't hide. "What a crazy fix I'm in." Clyde remarked with great chagrin, Messing up, getting snagged, What a drag. The Duke dumped Clyde into a cage, Near a falcon he called Mage, Who talked to Clyde through the night, And they got tight. After Clyde and Mage had talked, Clyde began to pick the lock, Hurt his thumb, banged his knee, But he was free. Clyde then filled a treasure sack, As he climbed on Mage's back, Who spread her wings and took flight, Through the cold clear night.
