The Tower part II (A Novel Sight) Mr. cricket, thank you for the song. It was quite creative but you told the story wrong. I have heard the tower fables all before And I'm afraid I must refute your insect lore. It is a novel sight but one you'll never see When a tower tires of standing rooted like a tree And leaves its lonely hill to wander off into the sea And in a nightly nap along the ocean floor It notices a hermit crab swimming past its door And struggling with the undertow from a passing storm. "Excuse me" says the tower "but you should come inside To take a moments refuge from the ever turning tide And wait within my holding for the weather to subside." "I'm sorry" says the little crab "I must keep rambling on I'm nothing but a crab inside a dream within a song Recited by a garden ages after we are gone. I'm on my way to dinner and the journey's taking very long."
